Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Day Tour

7.30 Pick up at your hotel. We drive northwest of Ho Chi Minh city to visit Cu Chi tunnels – used to be a VC base during America war. Starting to discover an immense network of connecting tunnels which were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters.

Then depart for Mekong Delta to My Tho. Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way.

Arriving to My Tho, take a boat trip on Mekong River with various stop at the villages (islets), visit the authentic life of the local at a coconut candy workshop, learn how to make coconut candy. A sampan ride in palm shading creeks will be the next experience of the riverside region. Continue walking on the village’s road and ride a horse-drawn carriage along village road to the next stop and taste fresh honey and seasonal fruits while listening musicians perform traditional folk music.

Strolling along the countryside road to get to know the local going about their day. Relax with the peaceful atmosphere, then say goodbye and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
