This 2 day tour takes you to the must-see Halong bay and add-on unique experience to Yen Duc agricultural village, in Dong Trieu province for overnight in homestay in this typical Vietnamese agricultural village which is rich in culture and traditions. Admire the charming fields, small lanes as well as the amazing tranquility in Yen Duc village. Enjoy a water puppet show which performed by local artists.
ITINERARY
Day 1. Hanoi – Halong bay – Yen Duc (L, D)
8.00 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi for the journey East of Hanoi (approximately 3,5 hours) to Tuan Chau marina, the gateway to Halong Bay. Upon arrival, board a traditional junk and set sail around this magnificent bay and among thousands islands that jut out of the sea with its spectacular natural environment while lunch is served.
On this exclusive Halong bay cruise we will visit to Dong Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Grotto), located on a remote island in the bay. As the name suggests, the cave adorned with fantastic stalactites and stalagmites.
We then continue cruise to the southern part of the Bay, where we will admire view of many strange-shaped islands, visit floating village of the local fishermen, have a swim or do kayaking to further remote area of the bay. Continue sailing back to Tuan Chau wharf, driving to Yen Duc village for checking in.
Have dinner and participate in making traditional floating rice cakes (Banh Troi). Overnight in Viet House homestay.
Day 2. Yen Duc – Hanoi (B, L)
06.30: Start the new day with a Tai Chi session. Enjoy a nice breakfast, and then take a stroll around the village in the fresh air.
Visit local market and a villagers’ home while you learn how to make special brushes and fans from areca palm tree leaves.
11.00: Return to Viet House, check out. Have lunch and relax.
14.00: Enjoy water puppet show by local artist. Your trip now concludes, get on car to return to Hanoi.
