2 days tour to discover the beauty and exotic cultures of Vietnam’s hill tribes with an overnight tour to Mai Chau. Spend a night with a local family and trek through the rolling countryside, immersing yourself in the wonders of Mai Chau valley, step off the beaten path and experience Pu Luong natural reserve, explore hill tribe life and breathtaking scenery.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau Valley (L, D)
7:30-8:00: Pickup at your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Mai Chau valley. Short break on the way for stretching your leg and photograph beautiful scenery of the valley and countryside of mountain.
11:30. Arrive in Mai Chau, relax and check into your room (home-stay or bungalow).
Have lunch with local cuisine in home of local ethnic minority.
14:00-16:30: Bicycle ride with your tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving, scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages of Mai Chau valley.
Free time for cycling, walking, shopping to explore deeper by yourself.
18:00: Enjoy the outdoor BBQ party at Mai Chau BBQ garden and watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink traditional wine (ruou can).
Overnight in Mai Chau (homestay or bungalow)
Day 2: Amazing day with motorbike to Pu Luong Nature Reserve (B, L)
7:30-8:00. Wakeup and have breakfast at your homestay.
8:30-10:30. Drive/ride motorbikes for 35km to Pu Luong Nature Reserve (motorbike drivers available if you cannot ride motorbike).
10:30-12:30. Trekking in Pu Luong Nature Reserve to explore a stunning cave, waterfall..
Enjoy lunch in the village and riding back to Mai Chau on another road through the beautiful rural villages.
15:30. Arrive in Mai Chau. And get on bus for transferring back to Hanoi.
End the tour around 19.30 in Hanoi.
